JEEUN KANG, PH.D.
Principal Investigator
Jeeun Kang is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine (ACCM) of the School of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) in Baltimore, MD, USA. He is also a co-director of the Medical UltraSound Imaging and Intervention Collaboration (MUSiiC) research laboratory at the Laboratory for Computational Sensing and Robotics of the JHU Whiting School of Engineering.
His research interests include the translational engineering of biomedical imaging and therapeutic devices that harness light and sound in effective form factors. Specifically, Dr. Kang is actively investigating non-invasive neuromonitoring techniques for assessing neurovascular physiology and electrophysiology in order to prognose brain distress in fetal/neonatal/pediatric patients, high-precision tool tracking for interventional guidance, and molecular imaging and quantification of early disease biomarkers.
